ensure patch is from today (16th march/2023), clear browser history if not
Dunno about other death methods, like falling into an abyss. If there are any problems, let me know
It did not seem to fix it. I clear cache, date was recent, and tried patching twice just to make sure.
Edit: I also found one more error with the victory jingle playing before you touch the orb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeI_OHG7HU0
I'm on it with J on discord, we will notify here when the issues are resolved
Ok resolved, new patch in first post with victory fixed. Alongside, also the PCM set AboHiccups "Kurrono Fixed" Set was fixed, please download along with the new patch!
I actually found one more error, I informed Conn on discord but we might need to redownload a new patch once it is fixed, sorry everyone.

Well, boy, we have to thank you for the great tests, thank you very much!
Rather, I need to apologize for the latest confusions and thank jud6ment for his efforts of thoroughly testing all unnoticed bugs out.
Well, as announced, this last bug is now fixed and again both the pcm and patch have been updated (march 19).
It should be final now and we can look forward to J's release of his pcm set

I got my new PCM set finished and a preview for it.

One touch I added in was a voice clip into the intro story cutscene. You can see it at about 0:50 seconds into the preview video. I also love the Bloody Tears track at about 16:00 into the video.

I also meant to have the mirror link be mediafire. Let me fix that. Thanks for notifying me
Ok, I changed the two links to be my mediafire and the drive download link that theanhvn gave me. This is the first time mega has taken down something I posted, which is the main reason I use them as my primary download link for my 40+ pcm sets. Going to be honest, the drive link will probably not last long if that is the case. I just checked all 4 of my mega.nz accounts and nothing else has been copyrighted and removed.
As for the copyright music take down. If you are a music artist that I used and you are reading this and you do not like me using your music you can let me know and I will immediately remove everything down, music PCM files and YouTube preview, and I will reupload everything without your music being featured anywhere. I will always respect if you desire to not have me use your work. I used to always ask every artist permission (I still frequently do) but I have found that 95% of artists never respond back to me so I don't always ask now and just change things if an artist requests it of me. I find most people do not mind if I credit them.
However, sometimes even having permission things get copyrighted and taken down. For example, I have a history of my Mega Man X2 MSU-1 by MET being taken down and MET has even promoted my preview videos on his channel before. The take down might just be google doing its thing, but if it is an artist reporting, please let me know to so I do not try to keep reuploading with new links. Thank you.

Played the game yesterday and your soundtrack is a masterpiece for me.

I am happy to hear you enjoyed it. I have 35 different games that I have created a PCM album for if you are looking for another new MSU-1 to try. You can see a preview to each of them on my Youtube channel.
While testing/recording a pcm set I made for this patch (the latest one from here) I encountered another bug with the death jingle playing, it only happens if Simon dies from taking enemy damage rather than falling down a pit.
Would it be possible to get the patch updated to mute this, or maybe add support for the death jingle as the 36th pcm file?

I thought the same thing at first when I was making my PCM set too, but that is actually part of the original rom that the death jingle doesn't play if Simon falls in a pit.
So if I understand correctly, the current patch is leaving the original death jingle in on purpose if Simon doesn't fall in a pit?
I don't mean to cause any difficulties, but this is a bit sub optimal as I've put together a VRC6 pack and the sound of the original game's music doesn't match that at all.
The death jingle is not in the sound test for music or effects, but I've read here that it is composed of sound effects? Would it be possible to add support for this track as track 36, with failover back to SPC if the file is not present? This would ensure compatibility with the existing packs.

You see: what MSU does is getting an original triggering for track change and then 1. Play MSU 2. Mute original spc.
It mainly doesn't add new features. If the trigger for SPC play doesn't exist in stock ROM, that trigger needs to be added by the programmer.
It should be possible to add this trigger on pit falling, but such tinkering is -out of experience - affected for side effects/bugs. It surely would be nice to have the death play here but then, this is little and not original.

Sorry, I think there might be a misunderstanding. I am not concerned about adding in the death theme for falling. I only:
A: Want to be able to play my own death jingle with a pcm file for when simon dies from damage, instead of the spc700 rendering it
Or
B: have an optional patch to mute the death jingle in all situations.
If A is possible, then implementing fail over back to spc if that pcm file was not available would ensure nothing would need to be done with existing pcm packs.

This is a question I need forward to J. Currently I do not know if the death jingle is substituted to msu. If it is, then you can simply have a mute track. If it isn't it needs tinkering.

Death jingle is a sound effect, not a music track, and doesn't have a pcm.
I see, thanks for clarification.
Well, here's a patch that should override the death jingle, for whichever sake that is needed

What our friend is going for (if it be possible) is for the death jingle to be muted and a new pcm track be able to be uploaded in it's place. Then the death jingle is a pcm track.
