Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
I've never tried to use the msu1 with an emulator before, usually only use real hardware, but I might try out the emulator just to see how it works.

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
I prefer ZSNES because the mechanic is faster and I do not need a plugin.

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
Meh, there's nothing stopping somebody from adding MSU-1 to ZSNES, but nobody's going to bother. ZSNES is dead.

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
Does Snes9x still need the plug in? I know that the sound emulation is much better, but ZSNES seems to have better performance.

What plug-in? Snes9x has never had plug-ins...

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
I used to run Windows 7 and I have the program, but I recall it did not work because I did not have the files to let it run. I had a virus on my computer so I wonder if it was corrupted.

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
I think he refers to DirectX. If you don't have a specific DLL in the system folder (as a part of DirectX) snes9x will not work and will give you a message "d3diag.dll is missing".qwertymodo wrote:What plug-in? Snes9x has never had plug-ins...

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
This is a snes9xgx MSU-1 Support for a modded Nintendo Wii. I personally like the Nintendo Wii as my emulator of choice because its already hooked up to my TV and the Wii has several controller options from the Pro Controller to the SNES classic edtion controller. Here is the download link if you are like me and want to play your msu-1 games on the Wii.

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
After the great MSU-1 innovation made by Byuu that started at BSNES / Higan and was later implemented in SNes9x, now comes this new innovation coming from the same author that is Mode 7 in HD, will this also be implemented in SNes9x ?

Was that an answer for me?
I'm not talking about 4K but rather the new BSNes release that best renders the SNES mode 7 pixelated graphics, examples:

@darthvaderx I thought it was Derkoun who made this mod and Byuu implemented it into bsnes beta?
As for K’s statement, he meant the mode 7 graphics with this mod can be upscaled to 4K in the bsnes menu. I would not recommend doing this on a weak machine unless you want to play in lag hell. It is already intermittently lagging in its lowest setting.
It is a nice feature though. Something to start another emulator vs real hardware pissing contest all over again with purists and speed runners. Those seem to never end.

I'm sorry for my misinformation.
But I'm not talking about 4K, I tested this BSNES and even in 1080p there was some gain in several games that use mode 7, some more than the others, the issue here is not the resolution but rather the enhancement of this effect:

@darthvaderx ok, I think there is a misunderstanding. K and I already know this mod increases the resolution for mode 7 effects providing an improved visual effect on screen.
I was just stating that K only added his comment that it can be adjusted to a higher resolution (up to 4K). It is implied what this mod does (which serves that purpose alone for Mode 7 Graphics only).
No need for apologies all around, all we are doing here is sharing our thoughts and wonderful news in gaming. I just wanted to clear up the confusion. Also, feel free to add to this reply to clear up any remnants of confusion left that I may have missed.
Yes, this mod indeed shows a visual improvement. I agree to that and so does K. No offense taken and none was meant to be given. As always, Happy Gaming. [smiley]https://2img.net/u/1516/35/21/36/smiles/1685586461.gif[/smiley]

Re: Snes9x 1.55 official release
This is very cool, so is this like Super eagle resolution that snes9x does. or is this one better? I ask because I can run snes9x and it looks like what is posted in 720p. I do not go higher because 720p makes the games look great. :-)
