Note: When compared to the arcade version, the default SNES MK3 ROM plays different stage themes on two stages. They are Shao Kahn's Tower and The Pit 3. In UMK3, every stage plays a different theme than the arcade version. To fix this there is an optional "arcade_tracks.ips" patch in each zip that restores the stage themes and makes them arcade perfect.

It makes no difference in which order you apply both patches, they don't interfere

"This needs to be applied on top of the MSU patch for it to work.".
I understand of this that i have to apply the normal msu patch, and then the "arcade_tracks.ips".
Is that correct?.
Only if you want to have the same stage and theme combinations as the arcade games. It's completely optional. You don't have to apply that patch for the original MSU1 patch to work.
These are awesome, well done, guys
Also, I love the arcade-fix idea too. Very cool!

@Reikk, The pcms link for both games say the contents are no longer there. I did not know if you already knew, or if this was a new problem.
For me it says server error on OneDrive and I shall check later. With luck it is self fixing
I checked some more links by Relikk and all seem to be affected.

Cool, Thank you very much Conn for your help.
Thank you for doing this. Just a little request: can you make BGM #1 in PCM? Turns out I'm updating my UMK3 hack, and since it uses Track 1 (Animality End, which it's absent in the PCM files), some sounds go buggy.
In case there is interest for an Ultimate MSU-1 update, there is a new hack that restores Sheeva and 9 additional stages from MK3:

What is the CRC for the clean rom to use? I tried several but the bps patch does not seem to work on any of them!

Is this in the deluxe hack?
If I have time, I should write a tutorial how to report bugs...It still has the glitched Chapel.
Conn wrote:If I have time, I should write a tutorial how to report bugs...
They still wouldn't read it.
Anyway, if that report is for the deluxe hack, report it to the original author as I'm pretty sure there are no glitches, graphical or otherwise, in the original MSU1 hack. Please don't post bug reports for it here if that's the case.
So true... I will make a short memo nevertheless. "Look, here bug" is simply no appropriate way to report. We (those who did the hacks and try to fix the bug), need to know precisely what to do to trigger/reproduce the bug. So...They still wouldn't read it.
1. Report as precisely as possible what bugs and how to trigger it. Best is if you record a video and give a timestamp where it happens if the video is long.
2. Report where it happens: sd2snes/emulator. Which additional patches did you apply? The more background info you give, the better.
Likewise, it does not happen with msu1 alone, but if I apply xy patch it crashes when I play with Raiden in stage xx. It only happens on sd2snes... and so on.
Also compare with the STOCK ROM, also the companies make mistakes. If it happens in the native rom as well, there is no responsibility from our side to fix. We only fix bugs related to our msu1 hacks.
3. If possible, provide a savestate with a debugger emulator. I prefer geiger snes9x, but bsnes plus also works - IF you give the correct version. I noticed that the savestates here are incompatible with other versions.
In any case, if the game has a safe function, like RPG:s, attach the SRM file. This can be loaded in any emu/real hardware.
At this place a big praise to BP89, who learned this in Secret of Mana and provided a savestate
I'm Lucas, developer of this hack. Nobody reported these problems to me when adding MSU-1 in this version, so I ask that you do not limit yourself to reporting these bugs only in forums, but I also have a youtube channel for this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPpMrcE6eJ0mBDckHRSOCLg/

I just wanted to say that I did a fresh patch with the hack added and I did not have an issue at all. No glitches what so ever. Played the level where the chapel is and its a ok. :-)

No, the deluxe hack is fine. It's when adding the MSU-1 patch with it that glitches the Chapel. Also, the hack that has the MSU-1 patch already integrated with it has the glitched Chapel as well.
I fixed it, clear browser history, download again:

Apply first the deluxe.bps and then the umk3_msu.ips patch.

That means it's the deluxe hack overwriting something on the MSU1 side of things. The MSU1 patch on it's own is fine. Anyway, Conn shifted his code away from the deluxe code and it should be usable now.
