Sorry it took so long to try it out. I can make it past the weapon select screen before Stage 1, but then it hangs on a black screen again.

I'd think it's your fxpak adjustments, relikk is very thorough when it comes to testing patches

I would also try patching a fresh rom once more to see what happens. Also check to make sure the header is removed or if the patch calls for a specific region version, that can often cause a black screen early into games playthroughs. Just a suggestion.

Yeah, one problem. The fastrom patch is for the Japanese version and the MSU-1 patch is for the USA version.
