Adventures of Mana / Seiken Densetsu I / Final Fantasy Adventure|Mystic Quest [Super GameBoy] :: Comments
There's a subfolder called mystic quest. There's not much place where to add code, so I had to overwrite a bit which unfortunately little glitched up the title screen. But yes it works, both French and German.
Oh, the french version differed a bit, so I had to recode it. Please download the patch again, you find now a ff_mq_fr.ips and a ff_mq_ger.ips. Clear browser history/redownload if not.
Also you hear some garbage noise, e.g., 1:28... It could be an emulator issue, maybe coding (but qwerty has it too in Link's Awakening). We try to fix it (I am also in contact with byuu at discord).

I found the issue causing the noise, v2 has it fixed, first post
Clear browser history in case you downloaded the first patch, just to ensure you get the new one ;O)

Nicely done Conn and everyone else involved.
Great work to all of the coders. you're great, boys!.
This is incredibly cool. I love this hack and the potential it opens up!
Awesome Work! Thanks for the German Version, too! SGB with MSU-1 is a Awesome Idea. Can't wait for Zelda - Links Awakening.

I was able to fix Mystic Quest, so it does not overwrite data
Find v3 in first post (the subfolder with the patches is called "FF_mysticQuest_v2" - if v2 doesn't show up, clear browser histroy and dl again.

I triple checked, works for me. Mistake should be on your setup.
- Did you take a fresh french gb rom (Mystic Quest (France).gb)?
- Did you patch that with the gb_rom_mq_fra.ips?
- Did you patch the sgb bios, did you rename it to ffa_bios.sfc,
- Do you have ffa_bios.msu in that folder together with the
- ffa_bios-x.pcm files?
Last but not least:
- do you use bsnes 114?
- is your volume turned on

Pittstone, could you countercheck the new german and french version whether you experience problems like brutapode?
Re-download patch v3 from first post.
New patches are named:
gb_rom_mq_fra.ips
gb_rom_mq_ger.ips
in subfolder "FF_mysticquest_v2"

If i patch the Super Game Boy (World) (Rev 2).sfc, BSNES 114 can't load the .gb rom. Only if i use the normal Super Game Boy (World) (Rev 2).sfc it lets me select a .gb rom and start the game. Than is no music in the Game.
If i load the patched Super Game Boy (World) (Rev 2).sfc with bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll with the .gb rom, game starts without Music, too.

No idea what is wrong at your side... You're the only encountering this problem so far.
Can you send me your patched bios to con.s@gmx.de
May take s bit until I can test am out atm

Problem solved, Pittstone had for some reasons a (wrong?) bml in his folder which was used by bsnes and thus it didn't work.
Working Now! The Error was my .bml file that not needed and let me not loading .gb in BSNES 114.
Working Now in Retrorarch, too. Without .bml!
I used the Core "bsnes_libretro.dll" (bsnes 114.2).
Works Awesome.

This looks awesome! If I put the patched rom on a flash cart would I be able to use this with the SGB hardware?
Which sgb hardware do you mean? Sd2snes isn't capable to emulate SGB currently.
Conn wrote:Which sgb hardware do you mean?
Probably this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Game_Boy
Yes, but how would this work together with a flash cart...
