It's not a compressed archive, it's a CD image.
You need that in combination with the cue sheet in the patch archive.

Hey there!
Got it to work. Thank you!
My only feedback is the choice of music. Some of it is spot on! But some of it doesn’t feel like. The level music? Gives the game this Harry Potter feel, just doesn’t fit. I’m not sure if the Gozer theme is possible for boss music, since that track isn’t all that long but is what I’d expect when fighting a boss. The original Ghostbuster song is probably not used enough here. Maybe would be good for the level music. Also the arcade game music for the Real Ghostbusters wasn’t half bad and fit that game. Scoring something like this is hard, and the movie was a lot more minimalist in movie score than people think. Just sharing my opinion here. Peace out

Pev had an MD+ version at some stage and sent me a ROM. There was a small bug with the SEGA logo, and I think either I was supposed to convert the music and I forgot, or Pev decided not to release it.
Ah, it took me a while to figure out the SEGA mute MD+ music bug. It is fixed but held on this patch until I finished an optimized sound pack but gave up on that. I just don't have the patience at the moment to loop optimize Arcade's current pack. So, I just posted the MD+ patch to the top. I will leave it up to other sound pack experts to make suitable MD+ packs for this game. The current MSU-MD pack works just fine for both formats.Shadowrun wrote:ah ? ok ....
Any chance to make the patch compatible with the recently released Ghostbusters Special Edition?
I just did this last night.LiquidPolicenaut wrote:Any chance to make the patch compatible with the recently released Ghostbusters Special Edition?
It's not perfect as it's not compiled. I'm blindly applying offsets into the driver (which had to be moved) based on the original game's MSU-MD file. But it seems to work!
This is the full patch to be applied to the base game (don't prepatch with anything).

I'm sure there are bugs. It was a pretty major patch. But so far it's been working for me. Again, going in blind with no decompiled anything and no real great documentation on creating these, but I think I got most of it.

Hmmm, cant get this to work.
In any case, I'm trying to do a rom hack of Ghostbusters with MD+ in mind however its not working right. A few tracks don't connect, maybe more. So far the HQ, the Sega logo, and "Please get all ghosts" aren't syncing, nor working at all.
Anyone here able to fix that please? My romhack kinda depends on this.

Any chance to revisit this?

Anyone here able to fix that please? My romhack kinda depends on this, and MSU_MD simply doesn't fit my needs here. So stuck with MD+!
P.S. For now, I am NOT working with the Winston cut (too buggy)
Are the patches being applied to the game compatible with each other? There is a tool from romhacking.net that compares patches for conflicts.pleiades7bluestars wrote:Anyone here able to fix that please? If a patch conflict is the case, the MD+ code would need to be relocated to a different ROM location. I hope this information helps you out to some degree. You take care.
Hi Zeldix Team,
Ghostbusters Special Edition 2.0 is out and I think that is the definitive patch for that version, is there a way to merge or adjust the MSU patch to be able to use it with each other?
