Pev was working on it a couple of weeks ago and I think he wasn't finished working on the audio. It shouldn't be long until you see it available.
I tried this patch but it doesn't seem to be compatible with any rom hack even the ones that only fix bugs.

Since this was built directly from the disassembly it's almost certain that other patches won't work with it.
I think there are some flags for fixes, so you could try building it yourself:

There is none particularly for msu-md or md+ as far as I know. If you are familiar with romhacking for the Genesis/MegaDrive you can use those techniques together with the information provided from terraonion (md+) or krikzz (msu-md).
For starters you could use the Sonic source and see how msu-md was implemented into the game.
