PATCH NOTES
Place ./profiles/ folder into Project Nested's directory. Convert the game using the profile included. This will ensure the game is converted in the same manner + the MSU-1 code is hooked in the correct place.

I have not been able to get this to work (thought maybe it was something silly with wine, so even tried on a windows computer) rom returns bad reset vector on multiple emulators before and after msu patch. I feel like I might be doing something wrong here, and just not sure what I am missing.

There does appear to be something wrong, here. I'll try and get it sorted out.
I redownloaded everything from scratch and it's working fine for me using the "Virtual Console" ROM with the CRC 0000B441. Every other ROM just gives me a hanging black screen, not even that error that was mentioned.
Ok, posted an updated package (EUR profile and supported patch). At this point, it only covers the EUR version of LifeForce Virtual Console rom. My mind is a bit foggy from my cold. I will add the other rom variants at a later time. The EUR version will run fine on emus and mister at 60Hz.
So far, using PN 1.8.1, the EUR Lifeforce VC is the only ROM version that works fine with the recommended settings from here...

I get either a looping Title Screen or direct crash (bad reset vector mostly). I have not tried using PN 1.6 (as mentioned in the spreadsheet to get the game going). This is just to get the base game started. No msu-1 pre-hooks have been applied yet.

Hmm, that's odd.
The old v1 patch is working perfectly well for me with "Life Force (USA) (Rev 1) (Virtual Console)" rom.
I patched a NES2.0 headered rom with crc E4AFDB8F.
(not iNES 1.0, hence the different checksum)
