Could someone teach how to create msu-1 hacks
Como o jogo Art of fighting. Por favor, se alguém puder dar umas dicas ficarei eternamente grato

Hey guys! I would like to learn how to make Snes msu-1 hacks. I've already learned how to create the music tracks, but I still don't know how to do a hack to remove the original audio and insert the msu-1 ones. I really want to help make rom msu-1 to increase the game library. There are still many other classic Super Nintendo games that deserve an msu-1 version. Like the game Art of fighting. Please, if anyone could give me some tips I would be eternally grateful.

i'll post that i've moved from bsnes plus to mesen, which operates mostly in the same way but has nice features like stepping backwards through instructions (not seen in any other debugger as far as i know) and telling you on mouseover what a specific opcode does, plus it has an assembler built in for testing little edits.
definitely worth checking out over bsnes plus, i should rewrite that tutorial a bit now that i have three more years of hacking under my belt

Thanks Cube for the information. I recently learned how to create audio for the MSU-1 and would really like to learn about creating a hack to include my music. I really want to because I would really like to make an MSU-1 for the Super Nintendo game Art of fighting. I'll delve deeper into MESEN as well, so thank you very much
If you ever need help with PCM audios for MSU-1, I will be happy to help with production, as the way I discovered is very easy to create them. Big hug

We're well covered in that department. Thanks anyway.

Re: Could someone teach how to create msu-1 hacks
i'm probably semi-retired, i have many things i need to work on (fixes, finishing) etc in MSU1 and several projects outside of MSU1 that need the same now.. i'm full up.
my advice would be to try and get started, breakpoint the audio registers $2140-2143 and check the writes to them as all audio data passes through those four registers, including things like play signals, fade signals, etc.
you'll have to separate those signals from things like data transfers for music data and sfx data, instrument data etc. it can be tricky, i hope you like puzzles
