My Brother

My brother (who is a little more skilled about these kinds of things) wants to create an account here. However, since we live in the same house, the IP address would be the same. Is having multiple accounts from the same IP allowed? I know SMWCentral has this stupid rule against that, but what about here?

Again, it's not mine anyway.

I have a brother as well who also has an account so I'm guessing yes.

I think the general rule is.....

you can create multiple accounts when you need to as long as none of them are being abused.

like.... pretending to be multiple people, trolling with second account, making 500 accounts just because you feel like it and so on.

"The administrator has limited the number of registrations by day and IP. Please try again later."

Actually SePH, I think it would be a better idea to have it so anyone can create any number of accounts they want, but if a person abuses this somehow, you can block their IP from here.

Not to mention it is possible to have other people around the block on the same router/network connection with the same IP's. Even though it's less-likely, it is still possible to have this occurrence.

So if the IP is blocked at one house on the site and another house is using the same connection tries to make an account on the same website, it'll block that user as well. This is only just a thought though.

Also, I know a lot of other sites do the same and there never seem to be any problems. We might also need to ban proxies and whatnot such as TOR because they could be used to banvade IP bans and whatnot.
