Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Yeah why not ? After reading a lot of how RoadBlaster is coded and build. I see that all video are from the app from itune and modded to fit snes. Next there will be no dash car sprite to build , only the arrow and the sword button. If you check how it is codded, at a precise time the arrow or the boost button is called and if not the right button is pressed he call the video of dying at a precise time. I did not say it is easy but possible.

Has anyone looked into using tracks from Nintendo's official Symphony of the Goddess orchestra for Link to the Past? I was kind of surprised that it looks like no one has done this...

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Since I haven't seen anyone bring it up yet, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in doing Toy Story since it had a PC version with a CD soundtrack. It's pretty sweet.
It's such a waste that these remixes are essentially trapped in a broken version of the game, since the PC version is no longer available or working on modern Windows machines. It's also not the best version of the game out there...
What do you guys think? I voteToy Story MSU-1.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Greetings.
Thanks to all the people involved in the creation of the MSU-1 Hacks. You made me very happy when the DKC version came out and now, almost every week I'm looking for some info about the MSU-1 of theDKC3.
I tried to learn a bit about hacking in the last months, but my knowledge in this field is zero, and I would need a lot of time and assistance to understand how to do the MSU-1 port for DKC3. So, I gave up and decided to keep waiting.
I saw the DKC3 in the priority list, and if another vote could make a difference, here's mine.
I reiterate my congratulations for your work and dedication.

^This. I've already prepared the music files for all levels from the PC version, complete with loops and everything, but I can't do the assembly.
Could potentially add the star dance tune as well, and music in the credits/between levels just like the other versions of the game.
If anyone is interested PM me.

Though I saw a separate post that I will second I must mention Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals as it is one of my very favorite games on the system!

I'd like to bring up again the possibility of a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy MSU-1 hack. It could take a mediocre game and make it very cool IMO.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
I tried that one... it has 3 different hookups
80f9dc here where it supposedly changes the music..but goes black screen.
80f8b9 this one mutes sfx.
80f8d1 mutes the spc but the game goes slow and weird,
if somebody hacks it it gotta be on ram address..harder to hack..

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
So just work on Lufia 2 Though I must admit Breath of Fire 2 (saw it suggested too) could really really be improved by a msu1 soundtrack.

I'm so happy that my DKC3 MSU-1 wish is now reality.
I update my vote: SMW2 - Yoshi's Island!
Actually, I'm looking for muted versions of the games. The cheat code that mutes the songs in YI eventually freezes the game.

Yes and some goes black screen it dpends game is 16 bit. Or 8 bit is tricky Conn and Pev know better how to deal. With those but hacking games is tiring..takes time

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
SMW2 will be done, that's the last game on ~my~ wishlist. I do only not know yet when I have time, but Nintendo games are the easiest to hack.
If you like you can already look for some nice themes
I also hope IoG will be done by someone, we have really nice themes:

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
While I'd love to help I lack the time and knowledge to do so.
So I'd like to see a MSU-1 version of these games if possible/not suggested yet.
Do-Re-Mi Fantasy
Jelly Boy 2
Those games are actually pretty fun and underrated imo.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Ok, after looking through the threads a bit it does seem like Lufia 2 would be easier to do than Breath of Fire 2 simply because someone did some ground work for it already and there was a DS remake for song selection. Which while I would love an update for Lufia 2 (in my top 5 all time for SNES games), I'm playing through breath of fire 2 right now and wow, just wow it needs help with its music! Its unfortunate its only re-release was on the GBA.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Hi, I have two MSU1 hack ideas I would like to request/suggest that I think would be cool.
#1
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys for the SNES, but with the voice acting and maybe FMVs from the TurboGrafx-CD version! This would be pretty cool, even if the voice acting was bad.
#2
Treasure of the Rudras with the CD quality music. The soundtrack was scored by Ryuji Sasai. A CD of the music was released shortly after the game on April 25, 1996; spanning 58 tracks. Here is a link to the CD on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/USED-Rudra-no-Hiho-Original-Sound-Version-Soundtrack-F-S-Japan/282791354341?epid=28008316146&hash=item41d7ad9fe5:g:lbwAAOSw-olZ-GMM
Edit: Whoops, never mind on that second one, the CD sound is actually the same as the in game sound so itt would make a difference.
Still I think the Ys III hack would be amazing.

Recently a new version of WILD GUNS has been released, with its respective new OST arranged.
I am wishing to learn at last all about hacking games with the msu1.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Assault Suits Valken fan english translation version, but with voice actors!
We could use https://www.castingcall.club/ to get the audio recorded! Game has a lot of lines during the action of the game, and it's hard to read it while you are trying to concentrate on aiming, and dodging.

Not sure I saw it but Star Ocean would be another great addition. It even has a PSP remake to draw sources from.

Re: MSU1 Patch wishlist
Awesome to see my suggestions make an updated list! I would officially vote for Lufia II (make sure its 2 ) because it is far less likely to get additional support than the other two. But, like I mentioned in an earlier post. I can't deny that Bof2 needs an MSU1 treatment far more.
