It's still up, but here's a backup link for it anyway.

Yeah, OneDrive is acting weird with some of my links for the past few months. It's like they've been removed but I can still see them on my end, and then they'll start working again the next day without me doing anything to them.
Here's a MEGA backup link for evey MSU project I've contributed to should you have any more problems with anything.

Apparently the Area 88 Retranslation got updated again, and now it comes with separate BPS patches, one that provides compatibility with the new fastrom patch by Vitor Vilela and the other with the MSU-1 patch (doesn't work on Relikk's MSU-1 patch that loops the credits theme). According to hacker blizzz, the Fastrom patch and the MSU-1 patch are not compatible with each other due to the two adding custom code to the same rom location starting at $00:FCE9. Would be nice if there was a way to get all three patches working (and a version that works with Relikk's MSU-1 loop patch).

It's not my patch, so I just tinkered in the asm and remapped it. Not tested at all, so if it crashes get back at me. If it works, get back to Pev to update the main post
No crashes but the music on the "Please select player/Select your next mission area" screen doesn't play.
No crashes. Plays very well. I beat all the stages. Don't know if this was an issue with the regular MSU-1 patch, but the Game Over music (uns-msu1-3) loops. Also, it would be nice to have a variant for the Arcade music pack to allow the credits music (uns-msu1-19) to loop.
I just found out that Relikk's Arcade PCM BPS patch for the vanilla rom that loops the credits music also fixes the game over music loop issue.
I've updated the loop table using the latest ASM. You can use this patch for the arcade version and I'll update the pack for anyone downloading in the future.
I just talked back with pev, and we determined we don't really want to maintain compatibility, since this is like opening pandora box, to provide compatibility with every patch and version out there.
We are done if the patch works on stock ROM, USA, NTSC version (if different versions are out, we'd favour latest). All additional work is only a favour, fastrom is imo a good reason, but it sucks if closed and working projects need to be reopened. So atm I do not know whether pev reopens and updates the first post, but fox or retroplay, you are welcomed to post a merged patch (that I posted above with fastrom) in the merged section. This is the reason we have it

What should I patch this with? I'm having a hard time getting your new patch to work simultaneously with the Area 88 patch and the fastrom patch.
The same way you did it with the previous patch, I suppose. The only thing that changed was the loop table and whatever Conn did to make space for the fastROM patch.

For some reason I can only get your new patch working on the vanilla rom, but no combinations of other patches seem to be working on my end in any order I try. No pressure.
I'm guessing that since the Area 88 patches are BPS then they won't work as mine is a BPS.
I haven't got time now, but what you can do in the meantime is patch a vanilla U.N Squadron ROM with my patch using FLIPS, or whatever your preferred patcher is. Then create an IPS patch from the patched ROM and the vanilla ROM. Then you can put that patch on top of the Area 88 patch.

Thanks to Relikk's suggestion I have created an IPS patch based on his new BPS patch for using the arcade PCM set, which can be applied on top of a fastrom patched rom (compatible with the Area 88 retranslation) and I would like to share the new IPS file. How should I share it?
It gets a bit complex with all the versions.
Best is you put all merged patches stuff as an extra thread here:
https://www.zeldix.net/f99-merged-patches
You could post both ("my" native merged with fastrom and relikk arcade merged with fastrom)
@relikk, if you ever update your pcm set with the new patch inside, I'd recommend IPS since people may want to merge it possibly

I have created all possible merged IPS files so players can pick at their pleasure, for example, just the fastrom and the two different MSU patches merged (players can pick their MSU pack of choice) as well as the fastrom, the Area 88 retranslation and the two different MSU patches merged. I only have Google Drive. Is it okay to post the IPS files there and provide the links to my Google Drive files from the merged patches section?
