Apply on japanese Seiken Densetsu 3 (or already pre-translated) rom. The patch is compatible with all translation patches. An English, German and Spanish translation patch can be found in the patch folder!

*Note to Red's pcm pack:
1) Download first the OST set (SOM2_OST.zip) and unpack the pcm:s into your msu folder. Not all 75 tracks have been remastered, so this is the base pcm set which consists of (high quality) spc resembling pcm themes.
2) Download the Remastered set (SOM2_Remastered.zip) and unpack the files into your msu folder by replacing the existing themes (35 remastered tracks were found, but many of the remaining spc resembling themes are sfx anyways, so a big part could be covered).
3) Theme 75 was was mapped wrong, use the single download pcm and overwrite the existing with this one

I played there myself after watching a let's play.
39: Atonia without Fairy and meet fairy
46: fairy gets inside you
16: rabbit forest
24: Astonia with Fairy

so your desired track is not 39 but 24 imo. And this ain't a bug

I just got Lumina and so far apparently nothing wrong with the game, I go all the way to test everything.
But I'll have to make some adjustments to the soundtrack, so expect a version 2 of it, okay?

I again need a savestate or srm before this bug happens...

he tries to shoot you but fails (gun powder needed)

and succeeds. Do you mean this by telling "Canon shoots until you leave the town"? - he shoots you to molebear heights. Maybe the track is just set to loop while it shouldn't?

Or is it something else, like a sfx played together with the msu?

Ok, I think I know why this happened. The drum sound (guess this is what you were talking about) is theme 54. It interrupts the music alike the level up and alike the level up it is set to loop. So I added also an exception to it, so that if you do not have the gunpowder yet and it starts playing, the normal town theme should play again.

Another bug, after you pick up the Flute Ferry, the game play the PCM 46 and should go back to PCM 01 quickly, but keep playing the 46 until you change the area.

I can't load your savestates, they are not made with geiger and my snes9x crashes if I load.

Nevertheless, I simply assume it's one of those bugs experienced with the level up /canon: one loop theme interrupts a normal theme and thereafter the game tries to jump back.

So it should be fixed in v6 (download from first post), ips size 470 bytes

Hi Conn, you put the German Patch "Secret of Mana 2 [T+Ger2.00_snes-projects.de]" in the zip file, but there is a newer Patch available "Secret of Mana 2 [T+Ger2.03_G-Trans]".

Unfortunately I recorded the game after that, but it seems like you were guessing because I'm at that moment playing from a previous save (when the characters change class) and next step would be the firestone where I meet Salamando, so I'll get there I send you the .srm (fortunately I have this good habit of recording in several different slots).

Best is, whenever you encounter a bug, send me the srm and use another slot until this bug is fixed.

Sorry but as said I need a srm. Not a freeze savestate, since I can't load them!
I hope you know the difference, go into the save folder and pick som2_msu.srm, not som2_msu.00x
These are the slots saved when you click continue. Then tell me which slot to take and the shortest way I have to go to reach the bugged place.
