Thank you for this one. It might not be the best in the series, might not be the best Action RPG for the SNES but even so I often replay it because it is shorter than the sequels and the music is truly lovely. I hope in the future to be able to revisit and properly remake the whole soundtrack.
Was the PCM pack updated since the original post?
Edit: Nevermind, I see that an extra track was added

That would be amazing, your tracks are always top notch.

That's sadly not really up to me. Are there any differences between the English and German version except for the language? Just curious.
People always prefer playing games (esp. RPG:s) in their mother tongue. Though being german myself I usually hack only US NTSC roms, simply to satisfy the masses (nearly everybody speaks english nowadays).
There are exceptions like Illusion of Gaia, where Red and I ported all the PAL versions, but we have now more than 90 msu patches, doing all ports (Jap,Eng,Esp,Ger,Fra...) is simply too much work. Not even Zelda3 was ported.
But whoever wants to port an asm (it's mostly not more than looking in the asm, make a hex comparison and look for corresponding addresses in the port, and then correct the asm, and compile), is welcome to do it, I'll add it to the patch package then.
However, as stated already in other posts, I'm exhausted at the moment... I did enough, and eventally work on my retirment, this is not gonna be my lifetask - so I'm afraid but I reject all new msu requests.

Gizaha heard your request and made a french version, find it in first post
Edit: I also ported it to german (not testet), also in first post. If anybody wants a spanish, portuguese, or whichever other pal version, drop a line

just found out that the game was in pal only released as Europe, German, French.
Gizaha just sent me the europe version and I updated the first post with it as well (so all is covered - french, german, europe).
The translation in Spanish I found was for the ntsc us version. If this or other fan translations are not compatible, get back at me.

Ah by the way, there's not the before final boss music (By entering in the Temple of Death Toll (The World of Evil)).
The US version (by me) is completely different from pal (gizaha coded it from scratch). So any bugs with french must be reported to him).
If you want you can try whether the before boss music is playing in my US version.
Yes. I can only help if it is the us version. You need to contact gizaha if it is the French version you experience a bug.
@brutapode, it would be always great if you post a video reference. E.g., what shall this temple of death toll be?
Here's a mute before the final boss in msu version:
https://youtu.be/WLqCDy5AKrk?t=4529
But this mute is also there in spc version:

Yes, there wasn't a spc fallback and this cause alwaays bugs on sd2snes.
I renewed the US patch with spc fallback:
http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/stuff/Con/sb_msu1_patch.zip
Unfortunately I cannot fix the pal patch, but I added a mute track to the pcm pack:
https://mega.nz/file/9nQxTKCB#CXJYaLe6JhKiYNuCRDxnIJ0YTp3y6lAiS3FI05MqgsU
If you play US NTSC, download the new patch (clear browser history first), patch size is 468 bytes, date Nov, 21 2020
If you play PAL, download the pcm pack again, you find a sb_msu1-0.pcm, that is a mute track. With it, the buzz should be gone.

Hello, the pcm usa link is down, could it be reuploaded? thank you very much
I can't get a rom translated into Spanish to work, I've tried everything and nothing
it'll likely need some custom work to support the spanish rom, unfortunately. just moving the hooks to new proper addresses

and could someone do that?
anybody could do it, in theory. even you!

i should probably update this guide a bit to be for mesen instead of bsnes, and probably elaborate on conn's hex editing method to boot...

Great, I'll try it, would snes gx also work?
Also, could someone reupload: PCM Pack v2 (US) by Shiryu, Walter10h?
