NBA Jam Tournament Edition :: Comments
Re: NBA Jam Tournament Edition
@ToAll I updated the NBA Jam TE patches to non-merged status. There are now individual MSU-1 support patches, depending on what NBA Jam you are interested in (ie, stock rom, 2k21 rom, etc). Please reference the readme for details.
@Conn The updated patch archive has the same link. No need to update the backup links.
*Note: If the readme instructions are difficult to understand, you can always use Retroplay's merged patches here...

Nice one.
Just one minor issue.
After Matrizzles's nbajamos_demo_051811 patch has been applied to USA base rom, you need to expand the patched rom to 32mbits for the Old-School MSU bps patch to apply.

Cool, I will update the readme to reflect this.Retroplay wrote:Just one minor issue. After Matrizzles's nbajamos_demo_051811 patch has been applied to USA base rom, you need to expand the patched rom to 32mbits for the Old-School MSU bps patch to apply.
Hi, just a note,
in the patches of ( Eskayelle 2K22 )
there are two patches:
NBA Jam 2k22 - Tournament Edition v1.28.1.2 [U] [h] [x]
NBA Jam 2k22 TE - Tampa Bay Raps DLC v3 [U] [h] [x]
there is no MSU1 patch for the latter ( Tampa Bay Raps DLC )
the CRC's do not match, please check, in more:
thank you so much for these masterpieces!!!

I added a BPS that covers the Tampa DLC. Follow the newly updated readme. Let me know how it goes. Please refresh your browser and re-download.VVV18 wrote:...there is no MSU1 patch for the latter ( Tampa Bay Raps DLC )...
Maybe I don't understand but I really couldn't apply the patch, it gives the same error every time!
Glad you sorted it out.vvv18 wrote:Exactly my expensive; lack of my attention here, after reading more emphatically, I got it here; I was confusing myself with the order of patches, thank you very much for your attention, thanks!!!
Working great on the Old School Edition hack, after following all the instructions provided. Thanks for the post!
Hi, I've been really enjoying NBA Jam TE, especially with the 2K22 patch by eskayelle and Mattrizzle!
Here's something I wanted to contribute: a new mini-MSU pack featuring the NBA on ESPN cues:
This covers the title, team select, end of quarter and game over themes. I didn't really want to touch the in-game tracks.
Also, I was wondering what the 9th track in the MSU is used for. The 8th track is for the fourth quarter, but the 9th track appears to be the same as the 9th?

Just going to answer my own question. Looks like the 9th track plays during overtime.
I might do some NBA Showtime and NBA Hangtime sound packs for NBA Jam TE as well. If anyone is interested, let me know.
NBA and ESPN cues added to the track swap list.

@talent, thanks for your contribution, I leave it to pev (when/if he reads this) to update (or not) first post with your) set. I cannot do it since I do not know this game at all
As promised, I've got another NBA Jam TE sound pack: NBA Hangtime!
This one is a full pack. Ripped from the MS-DOS and PSX games. For the main title theme, I used the halftime theme since the MSU-1 currently doesn't have a dedicated halftime track and I really wanted to use this one somewhere!
@Relikk - The track swap for the previous mini-pack should be titled "NBA on ESPN" not "NBA and ESPN."

Hello does anyone have links to the psx music patch for nba jam 2k22 or double z mod?
I have seen some links here but not sure if they are the super nes version ?

Are you asking if there is a PlayStation version patch to allow music in court? Then answer would be no. Also, I am not entirely sure if you mean a direct PSX based patch or music pack for SNES MSU-1.Hello does anyone have links to the psx music patch for nba jam 2k22 or double z mod?
Yes, only the Super NES patch is contained here. This site only covers MSU-1, MSU-MD, and MD+ based patches. Not sure if newer console hacks will ever be covered here. At this time, only SNES and MegaDrive music enhancement patches are covered. NES is limited.I have seen some links here but not sure if they are the super nes version?

thanks for the reply, i tested the audio in audacity, and it seems to be super slow (like it's slowed down, because the voice sounds off). is there another program i can use to test/playback the audio? Thanks.
Sounds fine to me, but you must have a sample rate mismatch when importing the audio if that's what's happening on your end (32000Hz). Set the sample rate to 44100Hz, 16-bit, stereo etc.
You can also use qwertymodo's PCM plugin for foobar2000 to listen to MSU1 PCM files. Found here: https://www.zeldix.net/t1543-msu1-audio-player
