Another MD+ Emulator
Is there by any chance another emulator besides using retroarch that plays MD+ games?
like a modified version of fusion?

Apart from the original custom MAME build that was used at the beginning, not that I'm aware of, no.
The only other option is to find an emulator that can use the Genesis Plus GX libretro core, like BizHawk, but the only issue there is that you can't change the CDDA volume that's necessary for the audio to be balanced as intended like you can in RetroArch.
Fusion and Gens etc. are old and outdated, anyway. I wouldn't recommend using them for anything.
