No idea what you did, but this *does* work (if you do it right). You can not *just patch* and hope it will work, you need to apply it in hex to see what you are doing. Here the UPS patches (apply each to US non headered rom). UPS has a CRC check, IPS does not, that's why you got bugs.Mr. Wubbzy wrote:The alttp_msu1_short.ips patch doesn't work with the Day & Night Patch!
Tested it, music wasn't replaced!
The first patch is only MSU1 short code, the second is only Day and Night code, while the last is both merged into one patch. From a hex point of view both codes do not have any "sharing" spaces, so they don't overwrite anywhere. In that case I would just change the pointer for MSU1 short and replace the data to make it compatible, but this was not even necessary.

CRC32-777AAC2F
MD5-608C22B8FF930C62DC2DE54BCD6EBA72
Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past (USA)
These are the specifications of the rom to use;
as for the applicator, use this one:
https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/519/
( there may be something corrupt, download everything again )
The patch is intended for the original rom with no header and with the ID, CRC32= 777AAC2F.Mr. Wubbzy wrote:Now I get the error: "This patch is not intended for this ROM."

If the upper message occurs, you don't have this specific rom, but some other rom, like the one with the header, EU rom, already patched rom etc.
Of course you need to apply each patch to each rom, making 3 copies of the original rom prior. The result will be 3 roms. But you can only patch the latter, which has both patches merged, the other two are additional ones.
Also, the message should be:
"Failed! Input file is invalid."
And not:
"This patch is not intended for this ROM."
Unless you are using some other patcher than Tsukuyomi.

Hi, User named pocket has reported issues with FMV playback using FXPAKPRO. While this could be just a small incident I would like anyone using this hack on real hardware to know about this issue. It also affects the game Starfox also. Thank you for your understanding.
As special favour to me, Relikk made the effort of an extented intro video with all zeldamotion scenes we have.
Find it in the first post at the bottom... if we had mroe material we could try to make a split video, but zeldamotion stopped this project unfortunatelly some years ago

I did see that, but we will need to ask the group permission to post on zeldix, and i think they will say no (or encourage us to link to their page).
This group made both the music and pcm set themselves. They are selling both as a bundle, if you buy, you get their album in mp3 and the pcm set.
Yes, we are non-commercial, and also we already have so many zelda msu sets already... ... ...
that said, i hope they do well! making music deserves to be rewarded after all
i'd like to take a peek at their code sometime, too...

Jupp, we all have to eat, pay rents etc. So if anybody has talent in making music and makes some profit out of their effort, of course. Here on zeldix though, I do not want to make advertisments for commercial music sets. The spirit of our site is "from fans for fans". However, as previously said, I have no objections against patron donations if anybody wants to be listed. Nevertheless, I doubt this will make rich, we also only have a few patrons that help keeping the annual forum domain paid.
I'd think they took one we offer herei'd like to take a peek at their code sometime, too...
Oops...
I just wanted to show the work of the staff, ok,
I am also a professional musician and in no way disrespect their work; I thought their idea was really cool and I just wanted to share it with you, big hug!!!

Oh i think it is awesome too. Probably my second favorite msu1 set of this game (obviously bias of my own set). It is well done and the consistency of music style really makes it neat. Don't blame them for selling their music, we just keep this sight as a "fan passion free content" sight is all. As Conn said, the patron is only to pay for the webpage monthly charge and wouldn't be used to make profit. I totally encourage anyone that likes this group's preview to go buy, they put a ton of work into it and it is good.
The lite version (that without video) didn't support the fanfare when finding a pendant. I think I found a way to have it played. I tested on bsnes but not sd2snes, if anybody wants to confirm it working on fxpak:
http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/stuff/Con/zelda3_msu.zip
-> subfolder "lite"
-> apply alttp_msu1_short.ips
http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/stuff/Con/zelda3_msu.zip
-> subfolder "lite"
-> apply alttp_msu1_short.ips
I made my own covers/arrangements for this game. I know there're lots of orchestral versions of the sountrack, but I'm putting myself out there and saying "Hey! Look! I made one too!"
Anyway here's a link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RgFs1sP5yUyGjlkTdJmZBknR18IxmQ3I/view?usp=sharing

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the patch zips come with a .msu file? I can't get MSU to work with this, and it seems the .msu file is missing from the patch zip
Please read the first post in-depth and take care to notice the *
Conn wrote:Please read the first post in-depth and take care to notice the *
The .msu files also contains the video in them. You can find the intro video in most pcm sets or if you scroll to the bottom of the first post there is a link. If you dont care for the video, you can also take any .msu file with a file size of 0 from another game and rename it and that will work.
