IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: "DKC2 MSU-1" and "DKC2 MSU-1 Deluxe" are two different and separate patches. It will not work right to use the original DKC2 MSU-1 Patch with the Deluxe PCM set. You need to match the right patch to the right PCM set.

(If you can add this new link and preview youtube video to replace my previous link Conn that would be fantastic).
I updated my DKC2 PCM files so be sure to re-download them. I did the following changes:
Updated the Title Screen theme so that it DID NOT get cut off before finishing. It finishes to the end now and changed the tempo to be a little more upbeat too.
Updated Disco Train sound effects and replaced the scream sound effect with a better one that more closely resembles the original game scream sounds.
Edited Lockjaw's Saga so that there is no longer dragged out bits without much music playing. Mainly updated the extremely quiet and slow beginning and gave everything a slight tempo increase. No longer a slow song, sounds so much much better.
I did even bigger changes to 13 tracks last Christmas so if you have not re-downloaded my PCM tracks since I released it I strongly encourage it. I have made lots of good improvements.
Some upcoming projects I will be doing, I am also planning to release two different Megaman X PCM sets (because I love that game THAT MUCH), an U.N Squadron PCM set in the near future, a Super Mario World PCM set, and the new MET Megaman X3 PCM playthrough when he finishes it and releases it. Going to update some other PCM sets I made as well in the next few months too.

Anyone else have a silent Rare logo? It is dead silent on my SD2SNES Pro until the DKC2 screen shows up.
I briefly checked, the msu code running for the logo is the same as anywhere else in the game. Maybe it is something with your track $11 - dkc_msu1-17.pcm?

I'm using the Judgement set.
Problem here is that the code was written by Mattrizzle, I do not have the source. I checked the code and there is nothing different executed when playing the logo msu and the title screen. Also on emu, it works.
I guess someone else with sd2snes pro has to countercheck. But here's little I can do to help

I will double check my download link and make sure i did not mess up a track name or something, though i am pretty sure it is not my PCM pack. Would header or nonheader rom make a difference?TheRetromancer wrote:Conn wrote:I briefly checked, the msu code running for the logo is the same as anywhere else in the game. I re-downloaded everything, patched a new rom, and everything works. My guess is maybe track PCM 17 is missing for some reason, the wrong rom version was patched, a rom from a wrong region was patched, or the rom had a non-header/header problem.
Or simply and most definitely witchcraft

Hello people good night...
I tried to contact Mattrizzle and Colines but,
the website where the games are hosted does not accept new registrations;
(I didn't find them here at Zeldix either)
anyway: I just want to report that,
on DK2 before any phases,
play a little piece of music before the phase change happens,
(similar to what happens in Metroid & Zelda Crossover Randomizer)
Playing here at SD2SNES, last revision before FXPAK PRO,
using REV 1.1 from the DK2 rom,
if someone has their contact, maybe they can send this text and,
maybe he can take a look at this;
thank you very much in advance !!!
(Google Translate here)

I didn't hear anything for years from mattrizzle. Colines is randomly here at this forum, but the last time somebody tinkered on this patch via hex edit was me.
The coding style mattrizzle uses is different from mine and we have no source code. Also tracing bugs on sd2snes is difficult. Your bug report is also hard to interprete, respectively not retraceable what to do exactly to trigger the bug:("phases"?).
We really need some forum rules how to report bugs...
All in all, I may be able to look into when I get bored from real life stuff, but...

Im honestly not sure what you are saying. Maybe have a short few seconds video of msu-1 gameplay where the problem is happening and then we can compare that to gameplay of an original game and we will know where to look.

Sorry about my horrible English ...
As soon as possible I will make a short video showing the error, ok and, thanks for the answer!
Ok, I think (hope) I was able to fix this small noise distortion:

For safety I kept the old patch in the subfolder "old"

You are masters !!!
Simply perfect,
the rom is just beautiful,
one more time: I can only thank you,
thank you very much my friends.
Is this compatible with the PAL rom? I have a European SNES Mini and I'd rather use that version for button color consistency on the menu
In the DKC3 thread, running_Dead89 wrote
Edit, the patch is in bps, so you must first patch the us rom, then create an ips patch. This one you can apply on the European version. If you have problems, best you ask runningDead, since I don't know whether he extracted from 1.0 or 1.1 version
so probably it is, but if not I cannot help here even if I wanted since it is not my code and mattrizzle was never registered on this forum. With the ROM of DKC2 I could simply create a patch from the patched file together with the original file, which works with the European version without problems, but with the ROM of DKC3 it does not work

Got a huge update on Donkey Kong Country 2
DKC2 Orchestral Set presented by JUD6MENT (updated Feb. 13th 2021):
https://mega.nz/file/kqAQhbQA#-ae9h_fddwuEs3yVD3wFn2gRg4sdupoIZfSZqZQ0OTQ
Updated Tracks:
PCM-9 Stickerbrush Symphony (thorn bush level)
PCM-12 School House Harmony
PCM-17 Rare Opening Fanfare
PCM-22 Krook's March (castle levels)
I also created 16 different PCM tracks that are Dixie Kong Level Victory Themes. These are found at PCM 136 through PCM 151. I found a Orchestra cover of this victory theme and I slightly modified it 16 times so each different level type completion is slightly unique from each other, just like in the original game. (I would love to do the same thing for Diddy Kong eventually but I can not find a version of his victory theme).
I change these 2 very minor tracks to be Sam Miller restored tracks (created by NoNameSd). These 2 tracks I could not find a remix for since they are short and minor tracks to the game and the restored tracks will be good filler.
PCM-209 Bad Bird Rag
PCM-211 Run, Rambi! Run!
I fixed a few loop points from some previous made tracks that were not correct.
I also did a few volume level changes so the whole PCM set album was more consistent on music volume levels.
I added 3 alternative track choices that can be swapped out if desired for these three tracks:
PCM-9 Stickerbrush Sympony
PCM-11 Flight of the Zinger
PCM-26 In a Snowbound Land
I will have a new preview YouTube video somewhat soon available to show the new changes.

Got a new YouTube Preview Video up:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OToVuJ6-W6Q
If someone can update my YouTube link on the first post that would be great.
I will be doing an update to Kirby Super Star and a new PCM set to Super Castlevania 4 soon (both in about a week).

I will be doing an update to Kirby Super Star and a new PCM set to Super Castlevania 4 soon (both in about a week).
I updated my PCM set for this game with 4 new tracks:
*PCM 11 - Flight of the Zinger
*PCM 18 - Snakey Chantey
*PCM 30 - Donkey Kong Rescued (end credits)
*PCM 11 - Alternative Option: Flight of the Zinger
I updated the first post already with the new link, which is this:

If someone wants to download only my new tracks, use this link here:
https://mega.nz/file/OCp2SKRT#3Tqr9FpNy-kd2xdEkfYr6o79lEbmq5o0eCVh0CO5rWE
However, if you have not downloaded my PCM set recently I suggest doing the full download instead of the few tracks as this is my 3rd update within a year.
A new preview video is being uploaded now and will be up soon.
