Earthworm Jim 2 :: Comments
@iDaw: Ok, all is well, please re-download the patch archive and reapply on a fresh rom.
I found another annoying bug, the MSU was double playing at the beginning of every track (for a split second on original version 1.0). I fixed this and now issued version 1.1 for this patch. Please re-download and apply to a fresh ROM.
If you can, play through the whole game to verify full Sd2Snes compatibility. Any assistance there is gladly appreciated. I don’t have a Sd2Snes to test.
Video up!

@Shiryu: The video you put up is using my flawed patch that plays no MSU. It is playing the original SNES music.
When I got back to "No more Tangerines" from the bonus level, the music got muted. I edited out of the video because I believe it was just my bad luck, but it might have been a bug.
No your luck is ok, but there are bugs. Normally I play through the whole game and avoid cheats for this reason.
I’m currently debugging as I play. I’ll probably be done by the end of the week. Maybe sooner, I finished testing stage 1 so far. I’ll let you know when I’m done.

@Shiryu: Ok, version 1.2 is online. I played through the game this time and found nothing out of the ordinary. Lets see how it fairs for you and everyone else.

They're linked in the post at the top of the page.

That is weird, very weird, maybe Chrome broke the page last night because it looked blank. My apologies
pepillopev wrote:@the_randomzer No problem, man. I'm glad you figured it out.
There's a discrepancy with this thread showing the link, but the Jump and Gun thread not showing the link, as posted in the other screenshot I posted on the EWJ2 thread.
@the_randomizer I know, it is something that occurs when too much text is on the main topic page (it omits stuff further down, unless you click on the sub-topic). I don't have control over how the page is displayed, my friend.
Just want to report that v1.3 doesn't work on SD2SNES at all (no music). v1.1 intro works and first level music, but as soon as you enter the light bulb to go to the falling grannies, music stops.
I corrected some stuff, let me know if this works:

@Conn Updated link with your fixes. Unfortunately, the link changed (could not keep the original one, sorry about that). I added your link as primary and mine (same as yours) as secondary.
Thanks so much with the work for these MSU1 patches. I did notice a few anomalies with the patch for Earthworm Jim 2:
- The game ending doesn't play the actual ending track (the track is also missing/omitted from the PCM pack above), but plays the hidden level music "Forked" (Secret Room Number 37) instead.
- The hidden level "Forked" (Secret Room Number 37) supposed to play a specific piano track for the level, but it's playing the bagpipe track music (from level 1 bonus area) instead.
- The MSU1 patch doesn't loop the title screen track.
The anomaly can be quickly checked from cheat codes in-game:
- Debug Menu (to start on any specific levels) - pause in-game and press the following: Select, Left, Right, A, X, X, Left, Right), then select level Forked
- Skip to game ending: Select, Left, Right, L, R, Left, Right, Select
Video reference of the original SNES playthrough: https://youtu.be/QYm1VU5bOdI?t=4881
- Ending theme on SNES playthrough (at 1:21:21)
- Level "Forked" track at 1:11:36
I also redid the entire PCM tracks for EWJ 1 and 2 from the audio CD source (PC version) with proper and seamless track loops. The current PCM packs for 1+2 from this site have no looping data specified. I do want to know how to make the redone PCM packs available.
