IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Yoshi race glitch that freezes the game has been fixed. However, the PCM sets need to be updated to truly fix it. You need both PCM-16 to be replaced with a new version and PCM-127 to be added. The patch zip file comes with replacement music if you need to update something you already downloaded. Each PCM set below has been updated to include the new tracks as well.
Known Glitch - A few emulators will freeze after getting an Invincibility Star (like the one you get in the stage Bandit's Way). If this is the case, remove PCM-8 from your folder and it will play the original soundtrack and not freeze up. I can confirm Nintendo Wii emulators will cause the freeze and most Wii U ones.
Known Glitch - There are slight music errors with the dream sequence in Monstro Town and Nimbus Town. It is very minor and does not distract much from the experience.

SIDENOTE: I would not recommend this PCM set anymore as it is outdated and the newer sets have better music in my opinion. However, this set does have a large amount of different artists that maybe you will like if you wanted to take a look at it.

On a side note, I will be doing the entire new soundtrack of the remake coming out in November as a MSU-1 pack. Just thought I would announce that before we get two people in the community making the same PCM pack.

I update my Mario RPG MSU-1 that features music by Purple11222119. Purple has redone the entire album again with better quality music and recently released it. I updated the entire music set to feature his new music but I am not going to make a new preview video this time. I updated the first post.

It is very common for videogame remake soundtracks to disappoint. Maverick Hunter X is just plain awful in my opinion, secret of mana was alright but very mediocre. This Mario RPG remake is just blowing me away though. This is so insanely good and has so many little harmony parts in every song. Every song is like an extended version with new variations when it loops, it is incredible. Each song takes about 3 minutes to find the true loop point. This is just gorgeous, i listen to video game music everyday tondo my hacks and this is some of the best stuff i have ever heard yet. Dang! I am seriously fan boying this soundtrack with no shame!

Patch updated today. The newest version of the patch fixes a mistake with the power star obtained jingle. Before we just defaulted to the original soundtrack. I will be updating existing sets to include the powerstar jingle in the upcoming week.

I am making good progress with the Mario RPG Switch Port, expect it soon.
There is two songs in the switch version for every battle theme. There is an normal version and then a version with more percussion sounds for bosses you are rematching for a stronger version. I am editing the two versions together for every battle theme by having the song start off on the normal version but after it plays through once fully it will switch over to the percussion version. I felt like this is a good way to incorporate both tracks while having the music feel more intense the longer you are battling. Hope that works for everyone.
And make sure you get the new patch as I previously mentioned.

With Conn's newest version of the patch these new PCM will work now for Purple1222119 pcm set. To have these pcm work you need to redownload the patch and apply it to a fresh rom.

Just a heads up, PCM-16, the Yoshi Race, is freezing the game. Remove PCM-16 and it will fix the problem. You will hear the original soundtrack instead. Conn and I will look into this eventually but it will take time of course because we are busy.
