Known bugs:
-We have some various sound effect changes. This includes link making no sound when he gets hit, sword beam and hitting a shield and wall sound different, and other various sounds in the game. They do not sound horrible, just different.
- When falling in a pit, the background animation sometimes glitches and does not show proper background. Not game breaking at all.
Cheats:
Check this out:

7e0774:af - unlimited Current Life left in meter
7e0777:08 - maximum attack power

Zelda II - The Adventure of Link :: Comments
Re: Zelda II - The Adventure of Link
This project was insanely fun to do! Thank you Conn for the patch and myself086 for the project nested project!
This is one of my childhood favorites and I really enjoyed this one especially. Be sure to check out the game over screen at the very end of the preview video. Conn and I did something extra special there.

Small fix announcement:
Updated December 23rd 2021: Noticed a bug when holding up an item, sometimes it was rather short. Should be fixed now.

Tried this and having an issue with the Title Screen. It plays but then stops and the "zelda 2 title" does not scroll up.
Used Zelda 2 with CRC32 of E3C788B0. Verified with this website ...
And used the provided profile on Project Nested 1.8.1. Did I miss something?

I cannot really recall but the title screen is complex. I think the intro was split into 3 parts.
From the video I assume you try to make your own pcm set, so please try first whether it works with J's set to exclude the possibility of a bug with patching or pnn.
If this is the case, try to orientate on his pcm:s. I think the first needs to stop so the second can play or something like this. It was a b'tch code
So my best guess is that your track 114 doesn't stop and therefore the intro hangs

Nope, no custom pack used. Just using J’s pack.Conn wrote:I cannot really recall but the title screen is complex. I think the intro was split into 3 parts.

strange. I tested it myself on 1.81 and works without issues. I sent you my file per email (pnn 1.81 used on zelda II USA rom), emulator snes9x 1.61
Ok, it is Mesen 2.0.0 stand alone emulator that is the problem. Retroarch Snes9x core works fine. The document is correct as it stands. Sorry for the confusion.
Alright, nice you could resolve it
maybe report to mesen authors...

I've created a pcm pack from IsabelleChiming's Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Remade VRC6 cover album. I was able to use 2 different palace themes, and I think it turned out pretty well.

I have a question I have a zelda2 usa.nes version of the game and I try to use project nested. But what I'm told is needed isn't there. Like for example known calls is supposed to be 749 yet mine says 0 and I can't change it. the the spirit zero offset isn't even there to change it to 17. If I make the snes file the way it is it will run but I run into a problem. When I apply the patch it changes the name to naol-msu1.smc and when I put it in the folder with the pmc files and run the game the music doesn't change at all. I don't know what is going wrong here but I don't know how to get it to work can anyone help.
Do you also have a .msu file? It should be a file of 0 kb in size. You folder should have a bunch of music files, the patched rom, and a .msu file all in the same folder and all have the same name (except the number is added to music files). Listening to the steps you took maybe you missed that. Just a guess. If this is your first time patching the game you can also look at my tutorial for msu-1. It is on my channel of some name and also posted in the tutorial section of zeldix. (I would post a link if i wasnt on my phone)
Ok this is what I did I got the game in the format needed usa.nes then I downloaded the IPS folder on this website. Then I downloaded the msu1 music pack. I then I used project nested to turn it into zelda2.smc.
Then I used flips to patch the IPS to the rom. After doing so it names it noal-msu1. Then I extract the msu1 zip file into a folder and I stick noal-msu1 in that folder that also has the pmc files. nothing I downloaded had a .msu file. One thing I downloaded had a noal-msu1 file that is zero bites but it looks more like a program then a file and when I click on it it tries to install something but the computer says it can't do so. So if there is a .msu file it's missing. All I got was the IPS patch some wired noal-msu1 thing that wants to act like a program but can't install both was in the same folder when I downloaded it so I have no clue what it is. And then I downloaded the msu1 music pack that has all the pmc files but nothing called.msu was in it as well.
