Exactly, link is out!
Now we need the sound effects replaced with higher quality versions!
I made this mockup video to show how it would sound like (plus, I added Announcer voice clips from Sega All Stars Racing PC, sounds just like Mr. Zero): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj2U7QqlSpg
Anybody interested?
--------------------------------------------------
Also, can anybody clean up the music from the Satellaview broadcasts, or at least, make really good sounding recreations?
I'd like to use them as a PCM set!

We only have one msu channel, therefore it isn't possible to have both the sfx and spc substituted. Only possibility to msu the sfx is when the spc is muted, e.g., logo or something, or completely replace the sfx and have the spc playing (there's a yoshi's island project somewhere having it this way).
also, the "one channel" thing comes into play were you going to do sfx, only one sfx at a time could be msu1
Well, what do ya'll say about the second part of my comment?

Well about the second part of my comment?
For BS Zelda 1 and AST we had a video record from that time AND we had KiddoCabusses who bought a CD called Zelda Sound&Drama, which had the used music files in high quality. Also, can anybody clean up the music from the Satellaview broadcasts, or at least, make really good sounding recreations?
Filtering the music from the (low quality) video might be possible but you do not want to listen to that (also when filtering the voice from original broadcast and listen to it... let me call it, it is "beyond suffering".
So if you are lucky and find good quality audio sources, our music artists here will surely help you out, but recreating or filtering is beyond our reach I think
Can anybody do a MSU-1 hack for F-Zero Final v0.2? I want to play it with CD quality Music!
I think I got the most accurate PCM set!

I wonder how were going to create a MSU-1 patch for F-Zero Final v0.2?
Maybe merge this patch with the BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 MSU-1 patch?

You see, we only have mainly 3 hackers here currently, where pev has many real life business and I mainly retired. Cubear is bound with his stuff (dragon quest and such) as well. So these resources are limited. If nobody takes up your request, there's just no time or interest on the side of the programmers I'm afraid
Mr. Wubbzy wrote:Well, can you at least tell him?
He is frequently active on this sight, i wouldnt be surprised if he already saw. There is a lot of requests for msu1 games and hacks and not enough hackers to fulfill them. I got a request today to make the two nes zelda games compatible with different hacks and had to explain to the individual we cant unfortunately.
I might consider altering the hack to work from new addresses or something so as not to conflict with other patches, but it's pretty low on my list. It would honestly probably be far faster to learn + do it yourself than to just wait for me to get around to it.
in fact, if you started a development thread, i'm sure you could post about it asking for help and i can guarantee that i at least will read it and give input

yep! all you'd have to do is learn lol. that's why you'd post a thread. get started, get messy, ask for help and you will receive it. that's what i did to get started and it worked. you can do it too!Mr. Wubbzy wrote:Fixed?
if you don't want to start a new thread, you could always post in this one, which has some information on tools that i use etc.

A word of advice, or warning, to anyone looking for someone else to create patches for anything... Don't be pushy. If someone is interested in a project they will respond, if they're not interested they probably won't respond and you'll just have to deal with it. There's not a huge amount threads to keep on top of on the forum, so it's rare that someone will overlook any posts. These things take time to create, test and bugfix, and some people might not have that time to spare. Everyone does what they do here of their own free will and free time, with no charge. Be patient.
