Ninja Gaiden Trilogy :: Comments

For the last cutscene shown? You can do something like this...
https://mega.nz/file/NrZWxQKQ#RDqsIXCEUBwmSE4PjJ7N5eeYWZ8LJaf7nB-Qk-liUOY
The number at the end of the file is the loop point.
Apologies if I'm misinterpreting your post and this isn't what you were looking for.
Ninja Gaiden 1 practically done, I decided not to loop because I edited all the tracks so that they look continuous (the same way I did with my previous works), stay with my next video:
FINALLY!!! (Phew, this one was hard work!)

pepillopev wrote:@ToAll Ooops, I forgot to add the FX sounds for Gunshot and Plane FX (tracks 9 and 21, respectively). Re-uploading the PCM set as of this message to include these missing tracks.
Pepillopev I want to ask you, Did you use Ninja Gaiden "The Definitive Soundtrack" CD's and extracted the audio from there?
Because these are supposed to be the "cleanest and best" NES compilation sountracks for the three NES games!
Please let me know! Thank you Pepillopev
Yes, I did source the NES music from there. Unfortunately, not in lossless format. All I could find at the time was MP3 versions of the album. Now, if you have FLAC versions ripped from the source CD (or the CD image of this album). I would not mind redoing the tracks again.nashismo wrote: Pepillopev I want to ask you, Did you use Ninja Gaiden "The Definitive Soundtrack" CD's and extracted the audio from there?

OK, I will try to buy the digital CD's! When I do (and if they are not too expensive), I will be uploading the files and sharing with you. I will let you know in a message here hopefully soon.
Thank you Pepillopev!
Oh, you don’t have to do that. I’m sure a lossless copy is out there to be found. But, again, I cannot stop you from spending your money. I’d prefer you spending it on other satisfying things. What ever you decide, I will help you out.nashismo wrote: OK, I will try to buy the digital CD's! When I do (and if they are not too expensive), I will be uploading the files and sharing with you. Don't worry! I found one very cheap, and I tested using Fakin the Funk to see if they are really lossless and sure enough they are! I will be uploading and sending you the links on a PM.
Thank you Pepillopev

Guys, one quick question or a request:
Could you guys add the button change hack made by Jordanbarkley? Here: https://github.com/jordanbarkley/Ninja-Gaiden-Trilogy
Or maybe we can just add it ourselves? Thank you very much everyone, this is a beautiful forum

The patches are 100% compatible, so just apply both ips patches (this button and the msu patch)

Thank you very much Conn, this is gonna be sweet
Pepillopev:
I have been using the Loop Fixed NES Version v2.3 tracks, and even though they sound great, everytime at the end of a cutscene (Ninja Gaiden 1) I can hear this very high pitched sound, similar to the "sword sound" in the Tecmo opening, it is quite annoying.
I am using the game patched only with the MSU patch, and I am using an SD2SNES on a Super Famicom.
Cheers and thanks for everything! It sure feels like a whole new game with this sound though, it is beautiful, and once you have time to loop the Flac files, then it could be even better I guess.
Thank you again.

I would have to play test on my own sd2snes to verify. Real hardware is a little trickier to debug versus emulation. So, it will take me some time to figure what is going on. Based on your description, it may the dreaded real hardware no track buzz bug that simple code can fix.nashismo wrote: I can hear this very high pitched sound, similar to the "sword sound" in the Tecmo opening, it is quite annoying.
I will do a little here and there. So, it will take me a bit to finish the set. It is a lot of tracks. Since we are on topic, I have been reading a lot of posts that this Fakin Da Funk app is not very reliable. I have yet to download them as I just barely got home from a business trip to compare your FLAC source against what I used.and once you have time to loop the Flac files, then it could be even better I guess.
Yes, well it's just at the end of the cutscenes in Ninja Gaiden 1. I have hopes that the FLAC files are indeed higher quality. Then I will continue to check them out, maybe with another software.
Cheers again and thank you.
Cheers again and thank you.
Hmm, are you referring to the little jingle that plays when the cutscene ends? That natively happens on the regular SNES ROM, not MSU related. The annoying jingle is not present in the original NES version. In the YouTube video, you can hear it between the 1:15-1:20 mark just as the intro cutscene is about to end. YouTube video below...nashismo wrote:Yes, well it's just at the end of the cutscenes in Ninja Gaiden 1.

I recall trying to remove this annoying jingle but it broke the game somewhere else (even in Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3). So I left it alone for the time being.
Yes, that thing is the noise then. Well, it is sad that is there. No matter, I am enjoying your version nonetheless Pepillopev. Thank you.
