Doctor Light Theme Update:
We originally released all three Mega Man X MSU-1 titles without the ability to play Doctor Light's theme. We have fixed that issue since original release of the patches. Mega Man X :: Comments
There's two different sets of music, which one are you referring to? What's your set-up? SD2SNES, emulator?
Never mind, I fixed it. The issue was the core in Retroarch I was using. It's fine now.
Hi! Everything personal. Someone has already had a problem with the megaman x msu after passing from a boss stage, ex. ice penguin, and soon after after winning the boss the game hangs, the screen of new weapon does not appear, nor the password, the screen turns black. I have tested other cards, other firmwares and the same thing. Before it was working normal, already downloaded all the files again and it stays the same and only happens with this game playing in sd2snes rev H. thanks
It seems the mediafire has removed the MSU-1 audio pack for this game. Does anyone know of an alternative place to download it?
Conn wrote:There is no mediafire link and all 3 packs provided work to download.
Thanks... Someone should update the readme that comes with the ROM patch
A little too much electric guitar.. could use more variety of instruments.
Could use some brass, some horns.. not every theme focused solely on electric guitars even in the original versions.

Ive been wanting to make a Mega Man X album that is not so electric guitar, but it is going to be for another day because I am right now struggling to even find time to finish my current projects.
@ToAll Posted a fix to the "Get Power Up" crash after defeating a boss. This patch covers both US MegamanX and JAP RockmanX (both patches included in RAR file).
UPDATE: Fixed darksamus999's jap to eng re-translation hack to be compatible with DarkShock's msu-1 patch (posted at the top too).

@pepv, does that also mean that when was noted below for the loops have also been fixed. Or is that still in the works?
@Polargames No, no fix for that. I only fixed the crash bug that was discovered when working on Nicholas Jap2Eng RockmanX request. I would have to set some time to play the game and test thoroughly.

O ok, that's fine. I was just wondering :-), also the link for Relikk's pcms no longer works. I get a message to talk to the admin of the account. Did not know if any one had sai anything about that.
@Polargames Not that I am aware of. Right now, I am playing MegamanX to build a track theme list (to see which tracks are looping and not-looping). Once I have that, maybe, I can add additional code to fix the looping issue (if there is, indeed, a problem).
Now that I have a much easier to read asm to work with, it is possible, at least for me to do this. It was a little difficult reading DarkShock's high level ASM language structure from his GitHub page. At the moment, I have no patience nor time to learn a fancy, different way to code/patch things. Maybe in the future, but not now.
I had to de-construct the IPS patch byte by byte to make a readable friendly ASM for me to use. Well, at least for me.

That's cool, I just wanted to let you know about it. Wow, I did not know that asm could be higher then what I have seen on the site here. I had thought that all of the asm codes have be the top, and never did I think it could go higher. wow I leaned something new. De-construct a IPS patch byte from byte, I give you mad kudos on that:) I will let you get back to your work on mega man. Sorry if I took to much time from you for it. I did not mean to at all.
@Polargames High level language structure is easier to read for us humans (but takes some time to learn just like any other method). Every programming language or low level assembly coding has their own syntax (set of rules to follow). This is where I have no patience to learn but later on when my brain feels like going into "learning" mode, I will. Just not now.
@Polargames I am able to go into Relikk's link just fine. Perhaps, someone else can try to verify it there is an issue with the link?Polargames wrote:also the link for Relikk's pcms no longer works. I get a message to talk to the admin of the account
No problems here as well with the linkI am able to go into Relikk's link just fine. Perhaps, someone else can try to verify it there is an issue with the link?
It looks like Polar might have omitted the dash at the very end of the link, or just missed a letter at the beginning while copying, as the message he saw is what you see when the link is not complete.

And as a shortcut, here's a link to my entire MSU1 collection if you'd like to grab anything else. Anything I've contributed to is there...
https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ahue7izQZmouiiuqC-ggYrWj61Pz
It defaults to a grid like view. I recommend changing the view on the top right of the page to "list" or "compact list".

@pepillopev
Thanks for the fix and for making a RockMan X patch (and also for providing a compatible darksamus999 translation patch).
I have one question, by reading the readme in the updated translation, it seems that the patch is for a 1.0 Japanese ROM, and by reading the readme in the fixed MSU patch it seems a 1.1 ROM is require (at least for the US version but I'm not sure about the Japanese ROM).
Could it please be possible to get a translation and a fixed MSU patch for the 1.1 Japanese ROM? (If there are no already compatible).

@alex_tenjo I have been running into various crash points with the version 1.0 ROM (I still have one more to fix, very problematic). I decided to fallback to the JAP version 1.1 base ROM (which runs way better using DarkShock's code). I have already updated the dropbox link to reflect this. Do not attempt the Jap2Eng patch on version 1.1 JAP ROM for the moment.
I will try to possibly convert the Jap2Eng to support version 1.1 rom. Or which ever is easiest (fix version 1.0 crash points, or convert the language patch to 1.1). We will see.
At the moment, I'm mentally exhausted now, and taking a break for now.

@pepillopev
Thanks for your reply and for possibly taking care of my demand later on (if Jap2Eng can by converted to be used with ROM 1.1).
Being able to use the Japanese 1.1 translated ROM should be a must, but by now have a good rest.

@To All I got RockmanX version 1.0 working with DarkShorck's msu patch. The patch is also fully compatible with Her-Saki's japanese to english re-translation patch. Apply msu patch first, then re-translation patch after (or vice versa).
@Nicholas After a nice mental break, I was able to fix the problem. I tested version 1.0 with clean rom and re-translation patch and msu works for both of them. I finished the game on both iterations w/o any known issues. If you would like to test as well to finally call this a finished proejct, I would much oblige.
