Does anyone know how well the following hacks play with each other...
MSU-1 + Restoration (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3609/)?
MSU-1 + Refit (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3336/)?

@Morty Best way to know is to try them out. If you get black screen or other weird crashes, then no. If DarkShock's source code is still available (cannot say this is true for MMX1,2,3), someone can update the patch to support these.
Honestly, I will not invest any more time on these. I am tired of reading so much data, . It was difficult work already re-creating source code from an IPS patch file for Mega Man X (since the source is no longer available at DarkShock's GitHub link). This is how Conn and I were able to make this game Her-Saki compatible and adding "Dr Light" theme support (for X1,X2,and X3).
So best of luck for now.

Understood. Your work is very much appreciated!
EDIT (1 February, 2020)
Turns out all three hacks work together with no issues!

This should be meant to replace the old 2016 DarkShock set. I double checked to make it consistent all around. I will be doing a playthrough over the weekend once I have time. I did all my track testing through emulation.

Thank you for the addition. I've updated my topic with a new link after my playthrough. 2 tracks sounded inconsistent with the other music being played which I've corrected now. Everything else checked out fine for me.
I also want to note something about the patch unrelated to the music sets. Maybe somebody else noticed this too. During the Ending where Dr.Wily's castle is exploding, the sound effect from it doesn't stop at all like the normal game does. The reason why I ask now is that the impossible was possible with the recent X series updated patches.
Thank you.

I updated the link, thanks again
I am not sure whether I can do something about that castle. I had a hard time fixing the stuff, like the SFX in MMX2, if you want to read:
https://www.zeldix.net/t2069-help-to-patch-mega-man-x2-with-msu-1
Edit:
Here, try this patch if it solves your problem. In case it works I will also make a rockman x version (please also try a bit further, not only the ending, like encountering a boss and such
Edit2:
I had a hard time figuring out a "bug", if you have the old patch megaman7_msu1.ips in your folder, it automatically applies this patch on booting (at least in bsnes). Be sure, that this old patch isn't part of your folder (just delete it), otherwise the new v2 has no effect.

I gave it a shot. SE seems to be completely turned off with this. I can continue testing as much as you want me to.

This password should take you to the last Wily Stage with everything and this Game Genie code (C2DB-5F62) should grant Infinite Health.

Problem solved, rom dead
Try this. I disabled sfx during the ending (as exception). Since it has no sfx, your problem could be solved

Amazing! Problem solved. This is how it should be, just like the normal version of the game.
Can this also be applied for the Japanese version of the patch?
Thank you Conn.

Here's the new link:

Japanese ported inside. Should be working but please test!

The Japanese version's patch is working just like the English version along with it's translation patch.
Thank you Conn!

I'm sorry for the late reply, but only now that I updated the MSU-1 hack, but for me it works like this:
Refit + Redux (Restoration already included) + MSU-1
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC027EF7DE845959B I have a job and I get very busy a lot, but it would be cool to see a PCM pack based on the fan made, NES style PC game by Mend.
Did not notice that the existing NES pack already has most of the tracks except the unused ones. Here are the unused tracks made for the fan made game.

If they're available anywhere other than YouTube and MP3 then I could put something together for you. NSF files would be ideal.
I searched, but could not find any other site that has these songs, nor can I find a way to convert MP3 to NSF (I heard it's impossible). I wish I could ask @JUD6MENT for help. I'd like to learn to do it myself, but I have plenty of things keeping me busy. I make time to play, but something like making PCM's may take some time for me.

NSF would be the one of the source filetypes. The audio files would have been created from them.
I also had a quick look for them but found nothing.

An update. The original .pttune files are a part of the PC release, so I have those now. I can use PxTone/ptPlayer to convert those for editing. I'll get working on this now.
EDIT: Hang on, is this not already available with the "NES Music pack" link in the main article?

Reading the thread sff only needs intro and robot museum, but I don't know whether the patch feature these. I never dealt much with mm
Actually, the NES pack came with mock-up versions of the two songs, not the versions from the videos I shared. The mock-up versions don't quite sound as good and sound out of place with the NES rhythm. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier.
I've searched nearly every archive and link on the official page, but I couldn't find any files that matched 100% to the videos you posted, but these were the closest. See what you think.
